The Effect of Self-transformation and Spiritual Experience of The Resilience on Muslim Women Who Wear The Burqa in Jakarta

Abstract :
Women who have decided to wear the veil in his daily life will be a lot
to see conflict, whether the conflict on the women themselves (within people) as
well as the conflict between veiled woman with other people or community
(between people) is the prejudice that is less good than community or various
forms of discrimination against them. The subjects were Muslimah who wear the
burqa in Jakarta, with N = 60. Quantitative method based on regression linier
analysis. And the Result: R = 0.689 (p<0.05) and the effective contribution (R 2 )
from the self-transformation and spiritual experience to resilience is 41.1%. It’s
means there is significant influence the self-transformation and spiritual
experience to resilience on women who wear the burqa in Jakarta.

Abstract :
The objectives of this study were to examine the relationship between
learning agility and leadership skills among motorcycle tire company X
employees in Indonesia. There were 149 respondents with a minimum position is
Team Leader selected through purposive sampling. The instruments of this
research consist of 34 items for learning agility (De Meuse, 2015) with ? = .868
and 16 items for leadership skills (Katz, 1955) with ? = .796. Data analysis uses
descriptive statistics and inference analysis. The result showed a positive and
significant relationship between learning agility and leadership skills (r = .619, p
< .05). It means that the higher the learning agility an employee has, the higher
his leadership skills. On the other hand, there is a positive and significant
relationship between self-insight and leadership skills (r = .577, p < .05), as well
as interpersonal acumen and human skill (r = .541, p < .05).

Abstract :
This study aims to determine intention to switch with Push-Pull-
Mooring Models (PPM) on users and potential buyers of converse shoes among
college students, who bought the product through e-business. The research sample
consists of 131 users of converse brand, and 100 non-users of Converse shoes, but
willing to try Converse shoes. The design of this research is quantitative.
Comparative analysis between users and potentials buyers of Converse shoes
found that, service quality as push factor (negative factors from the current
product) is the highest mean score to be considered by current as well as potential
users. With regard to the mooring factors (psychological and environmental
factors), involuntary choice is an important factor to be considered by potential
buyers and switching cost for the current customers. Results in the present study
address that, psychological and environmental factors are the important factors
that lead to switching intention among buyers and potential users of Converse
shoes. In addition, mooring factor shows more significant correlation with push
factors than the pull factors, for both current and potentials customers. Implication
for the present study is that, to avoid switching behavior among current users,
Converse management need to ensure that the mooring factors and push factors
does not successfully encourage current users migrating to another brand. To
encourage switching behavior among the future buyer, converse management
need to create diverse opportunity for the involuntary choice programs.

Abstract :
This is a preliminary study exploring the nature of bullying in the
Malaysia workplace. Additionally, it analyses the psychometric properties of the
Malaysian translation of the Negative Acts Questionnaire-Revised (NAQ-R).
The sample comprised of 252 (response rate: 50.4%) employees from private
and public sectors. Exploratory factor analysis indicated three components
explaining 67.5% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed the
fit indices for the modified version of Model 4, derived from the current study,
showing a slightly improved model fit; 2.6, 0.87, 0.84, 0.94 and 0.08 for ?2 /DF,
GFI, AGFI, CFI and RMSEA. Reliability analysis showed excellent internal
consistency of the scale (Cronbach’s alpha=0.96). There were significant
correlations between the NAQ-R with organizational and health measures.
Twenty-one percent of employees were classified as targets of workplace
bullying, which was above the international prevalence (8-15%). The
importance of job level and the type of contract in the bullying process were
emphasized

Abstract :
This study aims to look at the differences and determination of gadget addiction on the emotional intelligence of students in the South Jakarta Middle School. The sample of this research is South Jakarta Middle School students. The sampling technique used is proportionate Area Random Sampling. The analytical tool that will be used in this study is the average difference test and regression test to see the determination of its influence. The results showed there were differences in gadget addiction between girls and boys as well as emotional intelligence. In grade level differences, in terms of gadget addiction and emotional intelligence, it can be concluded that there is no difference between grade 1 & 2, 1 & 3 and 2 & 3 in South Jakarta Middle School. The results showed that there was a negative and significant effect of gadget addiction on emotional intelligence in junior high school students in South Jakarta.

Abstract :
Early detection of developmental delays in children coupled with appropriate intervention is crucial to help children develop to their fullest potential. Over the next few years, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) will work with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to form a network of touch points across the health and preschool sectors. This would include doctors at the hospitals, polyclinics and family medicine practitioners in developmental screening, and pre-school teachers in early detection of children with developmental needs, so that they can be supported through timely intervention. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have a unique profiling personality in terms of diverse intelligence, natural learning patterns and styles, the most effective natural learning method and the thinking mindset. The journey begins when a child has been diagnosed with Autism, be it verbal or non-verbal. As days passed, some parents may wonder what they could do for the sake of them and their child. This paper draws attention to the strategies of how we can empower the child with ASD to gain success in life within an appropriate ecosystem. The ecosystem supports children with disabilities (ASD) and their families, so as to improve their quality of life. Existing initiatives will be enhanced to provide more holistic help and a smoother transition for children with ASD at different stages of their lives.

REMEMBERING OR WRITING? IMPLICATIONS OF SELF-DISTANCING IN THE REFLECTION OF NEGATIVE EVENTS

Abstract :
Although many studies indicate that self-distancing facilitates adaptive self-reflection, it is necessary to examine the variables in the adaptive self-reflection process further to determine whether it will produce the same profile when the self-reflection is done through writing. As such, this study aims to examine a) whether the induction to remember from an actor's perspective and from an observer’s perspective has the same implications as the induction to write using the first-person pronouns and using own-name in facilitating adaptive self-reflection, and b) whether adaptive self-reflection through writing has the same profile as adaptive self-reflection through remembering (thinking). Two quasi-experimental studies (N=428) conducted in this research found that self-distancing was the only variable that differed significantly when we induced the actor's perspective and the observer's perspective (study 1), but the variables of self-distancing, emotional reactivity, and reconstruing differed significantly when self-reflection was conducted through writing manipulation using the first-person pronouns and using own-name. It was also found that adaptive self-reflection through writing (study 2) had a stronger correlation in the negative direction between self-distancing and emotional reactivity, recounting, avoidance, and in the positive direction with the variables of reconstruing, memory age, and perceived resolution, which meant that writing about negative experiences better facilitates adaptive self-reflection than just remembering. We also analyzed the intervening variables to see the direct or indirect relationship between key variables.

Abstract :
Social support is essential factor that support tubercular patient in maintaining self-care. The availability of support from other people will provide positive emotional effect on tubercular patient particularly on making healthier choices during treatment. While, nurses provide comprehensive nursing care plan to accommodate patient and family needs, their most important roles are to provide information to ensure that families and patient understand the treatment of tuberculosis. Thus, this study aims to identify social support that is extended to tubercular patients. Findings were beneficial in improving patient’s well-being. This study used quantitative-descriptive research design which included a total sample of 40 respondents that were purposively selected from the tubercular inpatients and outpatients at Dr. Ario Wirawan Pulmonary Hospital. The results showed that Majority of the respondents were between the age of 41 – 50 years old, of which 40% are inpatients and 45% are outpatients. Incidence of tuberculosis is greater among male patients with about 70% for the inpatients and 55% for outpatients. Both inpatient (75%) and outpatient (90%) tubercular patients are married in which their spouses are the principal supplemental care providers from the family in addition to nurses and doctors. Most of the respondents present new cases of tuberculosis for both inpatients (30%) and outpatients (35%). Based on the results of the study, self-assessed social support among tubercular respondents showed that they receive high support of social support from their care providers and families. On significant difference in the self-assessed social support among selected inpatient and outpatient tubercular respondents, statistical analysis confirmed there is no significant difference in the self-assessed social support selected inpatient and outpatient tubercular respondents. Information education and communication (IEC) materials were developed for health promotion to improve patients well- being.

Abstract :
This study is entitled The Effect of Job Insecurity to Turnover Intention of Employees at PT. X. This research was intended to identify and analyze the influence of Job Insecurity partially and simultaneously to Turnover Intention of Outsource Employees at PT. X. The population in this research was outsource employees of the PT X as many as 299 people. Measuring Turnover Intention using Mobley turnover intention scale and job insecurity using Ashford et al. This research uses a simple linear regression analysis to test whether there is an effect Job Insecurity to the Turnover Intension. The results showed that Job Insecurity very significant influence on turnover intention in outsource employees at PT. X.

Abstract :
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti sejauhmana keterlibatan murid berkait dengan pencapaian akademik berdasarkan gender. Ia juga meninjau sama ada sokongan pembelajaran dan keterlibatan murid mempunyai kaitan terhadap pencapaian berdasarkan gender. Survei keratan rentas digunakan untuk mengumpul data yang melibatkan keterlibatan murid di sekolah, sokongan pembelajaran dan pencapaian akademik. Sampel kajian adalah seramai 800 orang murid yang berumur 16 tahun (lelaki n = 400 dan perempuan n = 400) dari sekolah menengah kawasan bandar dan luar bandar dalam daerah Kuala Selangor. Instrumen tinjauan keterlibatan murid di sekolah (The Student Engagement Scale, Lam et al.,2009) merupakan instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Analisis deskriptif min dan sisihan piawai digunakan bagi menentukan tahap hubungan dan analisis inferensi MANOVA serta Ujian-t dijalankan untuk menentukan perbezaan antara pemboleh ubah. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan sokongan pembelajaran dan keterlibatan murid lelaki dan perempuan terhadap pencapaian akademik. Murid perempuan mempunyai sokongan pembelajaran dan keterlibatan murid yang lebih tinggi berbanding lelaki. Pencapaian murid adalah berbeza antara gender. Hasil kajian ini dapat memberi kefahaman terhadap isu keterlibatan murid di sekolah. Ia juga boleh menjadi sumber maklumat bagi penyusunan semula strategi sedia ada dan merancang program-program yang lebih baik agar dapat membantu meningkatkan pencapaian akademik dan mengurangkan jurang perbezaan gender terhadap pencapaian dalam kalangan murid sekolah.
